In this sculptural series the rusted nails are representing both historic industrial landscapes and the trees and natural landscapes that have begun to overtake them. Forward! seeks to represent the illusion of instant prosperity for crumbling neighborhoods that are undergoing redevelopment, becoming gentrified, and losing their identities.
