I found a sheet of paper at an abandoned work site that was filled with workers' names. It seemed perfect to use as the background of this painting which contains the dirt from the floor of a prison cell which would've housed countless people serving time for their crimes. The remnants likely contain traces from each inhabitant whose names are lost to history. The dust is encased in layers of melted wax, each embellished with oil paint in similar colors to those seen on the eroding walls of Eastern State Penitentiary.
